...for System retirements

Applications accumulated over time
When it comes to business software, every company has established applications that have accumulated over time. This accumulated burden is referred to as "legacy".

The long-term storage of data and ensuring that the data is permanently available is very important as these systems possess information that must be kept for a long period of time for various reasons (e.g. HGB - German Commercial Code), Generell Tax Data Access Solution, GoBS - Principles for accurate, data processing supported accounting systems, and SOX). This also applies to modern ERP applications such as the SAP systems.
New structures, redundant ERP systems, 10-year required period
Sales of the company, the formation of new group structures or reorganisation increasingly mean that entire ERP systems will no longer need to be used. However, the tax relevant data is digitally created and must therefore be kept for 10 years in a machine-readable form (archive). In accordance with the GDPdU, the tax authorities require access types Z1 to Z3 in order to carry out tax audits within this period of time. However, it is not reasonable to require a company to keep an entire ERP system active for years only for the purposes of tax-related access.

The majority of companies are equipped with an archive system or an alternative form of data storage. Web technologies and web application servers are equally diffused among companies. Therefore, it makes sense to use an already existing infrastructure to remove legacy systems and to migrate and present their data using existing means.
Our cost-reducing solution: CIC
This is where the Tributus Compliance Information Center (CIC) can provide a cost-reducing and safe alternative for accessing this legacy data. The tax relevant data as defined by Generell Tax Data Access Solution is archived using the SAP DART tool or is alternatively extracted with TDS SAP Connect and then archived using a TRIBUTUS service programme. The data is saved in a universal format so that it can be analysed using the simplest of tools at any time - even after several decades.

With the CIC solution, requirements such as the GDPdU can be fulfilled "on the fly" as well as other compliance issues. In particular, system retirements in the mainframe and client server world can be efficiently and cost-defensively carried out.

A simple standardised infrastructure with a high performance archive system (e.g. Opentext, IBM, Mobius, KGS) and the web application server of your choice are all you need to be able to store all relevant data in a homogenous framework.
